Happy Birthday!

Problems with my past blog have led to a brand new path!  I'm looking forward to all the possibilities. All of the "Kitchen Witch Rocks" content will be moved here and labeled accordingly. I'll be publishing tons more poetry from the past few years that I've kept bottled up.  Creative writing kinda jumps on me sometimes and I just can't shake the monkey off my back fast enough to get it typed or written or scribbled on a scratch sheet. 

Visual artworks will be here too, but much more leisurely.

Stories Of The Stars

Some see silver I see gold For all the poetry Written in glow Starlight star bright Who holds my sight tonight  Give me reason give me rhyme To unlock this heart divine  The verbs, the heart The words, a part One section, one gaze Like a script they haze And to me they play A note so sweet Like a message in code The words I repeat For them and in them A bleat to spout And bleed is how I rain it down Rain or reign The world may never know That what is bleeding Isn't gold, but told A telling and re-telling and toiling some more Stories in stars I never get bored Read them with me For reading's all I do And I'll whisper the stories of the stars To you.

Bad Days Can Reign

Part I Boom went the axe and down fell the tree. My glimpse into a crappy me. On days when the fog just won't part I close my eyes and open my heart. I try to anyways. I pretend to know what it's like, To be happy, content, feel whole For the first time. Take a deep breathe and fly with me. Dance across the skies on these broken wings. I want you. It doesn't describe the way it burns inside Every time I convince myself you're almost mine. I need you. I can't take this ache. This intense yearning simply won't bank. We can sail a row boat. Together we'll paint the skies. With you, always. We're coming closer to the finish line The rain is tapping out my metronome of time. The countdown is winding around My hope is growing But those fucking fears keep sewing Seeds of doubt. So tell me. Turn the hope of faith into a love we can both be proud to shout. Are you in? Or are you out.
